The site has two main parts:

1. A common set engineering drawings and specifications which are common to all Local Governments

2. Council specific drawings

The Standard Drawings and General Specifications were prepared to assist in the design and construction of municipal road and hydraulic infrastructure. The documents are designed to be used in conjunction with each other. Council does not consider that the documents are suitable for use for any other purpose.

If you use these documents for any other purpose that  is not consistent with the above, you do so at your own risk.

The drawings only provide the minimum Council requirements. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the design and construction works satisfy all legislative requirements and all the relevant Australian Standards.

Alternative or non-conforming designs may be approved at the discretion of the individual LGA

You may print a copy of the specifications and/or drawings for your own use, but they must not be reproduced or modified for any other purpose without prior written approval of the CMDG Technical Reference Group.

For further information contact the technical reference group co-ordinator McMurtrie Consulting Engineers by email cmdg@mcmengineers.com

It is the responsibility of the user to ensure they have the latest version of either the Standard Drawings or General Specifications.  A historical record of amendments can be found on the Amendment History page.
